“One cannot not communicate” is a tagline often used. As a human being, I have the same with art: I can simply not not create.
Words and rhythm have always played a big part in my life. Over the years, I have written and featured in multiple books. In 2020 I self-published my debut poetry album ‘Weg met de Woorden’. In 2023 I made my first steps into the world of journalism as an interviewer and columnist. And a year later, in Autumn of 2024, I wrote a poetic contribution in ‘Modelverhalen’.
In my role as editor I support people in the process of getting their work published.
And as a young, queer person of color I have a unique point of view. One that I am increasingly sharing with the world.

Creative Writing
As an author, I now master several literary genres. It started with poetry. Writing poems gave my emotions a way out. Poetry allowed me to connect with myself. I then developed my journalistic writing skills, which allowed me to connect with the world. And in recent years, I have devoted myself to non-fiction prose, allowing society to get acquainted with me and my business.
With the training ‘Creative Writing’ I want to enable you to do the same. In a world that is constantly changing, it is essential to stay true to yourself. So your audience can continue the find you, and you can continue to inspire. I am convinced that authenticity is the key to that process. Be welcome and write your story.

You have writing skills, ideals and a story that deserves to be told. Yet you struggle with your visibility with reputable publishing platforms and publishers. Writing is a passion, publishing is an art. Moving with the market is a necessary condition for getting published. But how do you do that?
As an experienced writer, I know the ropes. My poetry was published when I was 13. A year later, I was on the jury of a national poetry competition. After graduating from university, I started writing for a journalism platform. And I am the author of several non-fiction books. As a creator, I know the entire publishing process: from the earliest idea to seeing your work in (online) stores.

In my role as editor, I guide (aspiring) writers in their first, serious steps toward publication. Your creative process is central. I support you in strengthening your own voice. And I guide you in how you present yourself and your work.
Rejections are part of the game. I cannot change that. What I can do is provide you with realistic advice, aimed at increasing your confidence throughout the entire process. So you can bridge the gap from promising to publishable.
